From companionship to hospice care and the myriad of needs in between, our dedicated team has more than 16 years serving Marin and Sonoma counties. Caregivers are trained to meet care needs associated with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, heart failure, Parkinson’s, diabetes, and many other conditions.
Providing Services at Your Convenience
When you sign up to receive service from At Home Caregivers there is no deposit and no commitment required. At Home Caregivers will begin and end service when you want with just a phone call and 24 hours’ notice. We know that needs can and do change, usually often, and that is why we answer the phone 24/7, three-hundred and sixty-five days a year. You may cancel service at no charge with just a phone call and 24 hours’ notice.

Custodial Care
The heart of our service is providing personalized in-home assistance enabling our clients to remain safely in their homes. Our caregivers help clients with common activities of daily living and provide a much needed respite for the family. Our in-home care is available seven days a week and ranges from just a few hours per day to 24-hour live-in care.

Dementia Care
At Home Caregivers has developed a program of ongoing training to serve the growing need for dementia support and care. Whether the cognitive mental impairment is diagnosed as Alzheimer’s or one of a myriad of others, dealing with the loss of memory, change in personality and diminishing reactions requires a specific set of problem-solving and settling tools and skills. We use a variety of materials and inservice training methods that incorporate the current best practices of dementia care, including:
- Use of simple words and short sentences
- Practice patience and remain calm at all times
- Utilize distraction as a tactic for redirection from an unsafe or inappropriate action
- Phrase requests as statements
- Avoid arguing about reality
Hospice Care
Hospice services are provided by licensed hospice agencies and are often paid for by Medicare. Hospice agencies typically provide custodial and personal services on a limited basis. At Home Caregivers works closely with local hospice agencies following their medical and clinical directives, including:
